I don’t post as often as I like, but today I’m feeling a little more led to do so. Last night, I had Friends Thanksgiving. Let me explain, Friends Thanksgiving is something my closest friends and I started 4 years ago. Every year we get together and make thanksgiving food while hanging out and having a blast. There are usually about 20 of us who get in on this, and it is always amazing. It’s really the only time we can get everyone under one roof. Personally, it’s something I look forward to every year. I’ve been out of high shook since 06, so the fact that I can still get 20 people I went to school, together, in one place, pretty much means the world to me.
I haven’t seen some of my closest friends since beginning of summer, and as soon as we got together, it was like we hung out 2 days ago. I could never be more thankful for that.
Two years ago we started Yankee Swap. Without explaining, it’s a little like secret santa, just way better. When I go home with a framed poster of Hulk Hogan from probably 1985, and a santa mug, I know I have the right friends.
I hope this time of the year really opens your eyes as to what is really important to you. I know it gets me every single year. I feel loved and I want to show everyone that same love.
